Fishing Report

Saltwater fishing has really taken off in the last couple of weeks. I have spoken recently to a couple of Ocean City, MD charter captains this week. Jeff Stewart of the “Restless Lady” said that the last two days have been red hot on blue fin tuna. The tuna has been thick with the biggest fish tipping the scales at 162 lbs.

The other charter boat in Ocean City, MD “Troublemaker” also reported very high numbers of blue fin tuna. The canyons have been overly active with a full house of yellow fin tuna and mahi mahi being the main attraction. Mako Shark fishing has decreased a bit with only one landing last week. Bottom fishing for sea bass and flounder provided plenty of action but most fish were under-sized. (Expect larger fish to move in as the summer progresses.) Croakers have not yet nestled in yet for the summer but I’ll be sure to let you know when they do.

Check me out next week to see what’s hot and what’s not. If you are looking for a top quality charter captain that can put you on some pretty nice fish then you need to contact me. We can arrange to have a day trip or overnight pass to make your fishing adventures very accommodating. I have personally fished with several different captains from Massachusetts to Ocean City, MD and from Virginia Beach to Cape Hatteras, NC. If you would like to swap stories then feel free to drop me a line.
